FranchiseLab Acquired by Operandio, Backed by Co-founder, Franchise Hall of Famer Greg Nathan on Advisory Board

Acquisition supports Operandio’s end-to-end franchise management platform

MELBOURNE, 2 February 2026 – Leading franchise operations platform Operandio has acquired FranchiseLab, bringing the industry’s most established franchise recruitment methodology into a single, end-to-end franchise management platform.

As part of the acquisition, FranchiseLab co-founder and Franchise Hall of Famer Greg Nathan will join the Operandio Advisory Board, ensuring the Nathan Profiler methodology continues to shape best-practice recruitment at scale.

Trusted by ~100 franchise customers across Australia and New Zealand, FranchiseLab is the modern digital evolution of the Nathan Profiler, the industry-standard framework for franchise recruitment developed by Greg Nathan in the early 1990s. The platform has become a cornerstone of franchise recruitment, helping franchisors recruit the right franchisees through structured candidate assessment, reducing surprises later in the franchise relationship.

“FranchiseLab needed a home that could properly support the next phase of the product without changing its purpose,” said Nathan. “Operandio understands franchising, and they’re committed to investing in the product properly.”

The acquisition brings franchise recruitment into Operandio’s broader operational ecosystem, which already supports training, compliance, communications and frontline execution for franchise and multi-unit businesses.

Managing Director David Rigbye said the move closes a critical gap in franchise system support.

FranchiseLab will continue to operate under its existing brand, ensuring continuity for customers. Selected members of the FranchiseLab team will join Operandio, including Tarso Cruz, who will continue in his role as Account Manager, working closely with Adem and David to support day-to-day operations. Greg Nathan’s appointment to the Operandio Advisory Board provides important continuity for customers and will support the platform’s ongoing evolution, further strengthening Operandio’s franchise governance and strategic capability, bringing decades of industry experience directly into the platform’s ongoing development.
