ADP Workforce Now Software

A cloud-based HR platform for mid-sized businesses that features customizable modules of various HR services that businesses can tailor to their specific needs, and regulatory monitoring and alerts to help businesses remain compliant. However, it is known for having a steep learning curve that can alienate newcomers.

Ceridian Dayforce HCM Software

A cloud-based platform encompassing HR, payroll, benefits, and talent and workforce management. It provides companies with a scalable framework and real-time data, such as continual pay calculations, to enable efficient decision-making. However, it commands a relatively hands-off approach, in which excessive automation means you have less control over how these functions operate.

Deputy Software

A web-based workforce manager solution designed to help users simplify their scheduling, timesheets, tasking, employee communication and administrative tasks. It includes various apps and a one click payroll integration that aims to make workforce management easier. It’s a solid workforce management solution, although its interface is fairly unintuitive and its clock out function has been known to glitch on occasion.

Enterprise eTIME Software

A suite of applications designed to help users manage their workforce, control labour costs, simplify compliance and boost productivity. The goal of eTIME is to automate time and labour management, and provide employees and managers with tools to optimise schedules. While it contains a wealth of features, many have cited weaknesses in its lack of third party integration, meaning that it’s not very accommodating towards other workforce software solutions.

HotSchedules Software

A cloud-based scheduling, labour and communication management software solution serving the restaurant and hospitality industry. While this is certainly a functional piece of workflow management software, many have criticised its customer support services, especially when it comes to responsiveness.

Jolt Software

A task and workforce management tool that contains features such as time & attendance records, remote (selfie) login, scheduling, and simple tasking tools. The end result is useful for small teams that could leverage frequent communication. While Jolt offers customizability that makes it appealing, it also has occasional technical problems in areas such as list creation and website management.

Oracle Cloud HCM Software

A combination of various human resources operations, such as Core HR functions, talent management, and workforce management, within one platform. The Cloud program provides global scaling and prioritises mobile accessibility and integration. However, complaints from its users tend to include imposed limitations on areas such as dispositioning candidates in bulk, its unresponsive customer service and an unintuitive user interface.

SAP SuccessFactors Software

A suite of HR/HCM products covering these capability areas: core HR and payroll, recruiting and onboarding, enterprise learning management and development, performance and compensation management, workforce analytics and planning, and employee experience management. Points for improvement that have been cited amongst users include its limited data sorting functionality, difficulties when it comes to bulk-hiring/onboarding and customer service.

UKG Pro Software

A collective of cloud-based HCM softwares that help businesses simplify payroll computations, accelerate talent acquisition, manage time and attendance, and support proactive, strategic talent management on a global level. While many cite its value for price, there are also areas where it is considered to be lacking, such as missing functionality, modules that do not integrate well with each other and customer service problems.

When I Work Software

A robust platform for time & attendance and workforce management, featuring employee self-service and the capability to broadcast and fill empty shifts in “less than 30 seconds,” for small workforces and larger companies as well. However, it lacks scalability options, as it has been said to have difficulty functioning for both multiple branches of a single business and multiple businesses at the same time.

Workday HCM Software

Workday Human Capital Management is built as a cloud-based system with global consistency in user experience. While many praise its functionality, it has also been cited as fairly anaemic in terms of design. The interface is considered dated, the UX has been labelled confusing and unintuitive, and the end result is a piece of software that is unnecessarily difficult to use.

Verint Software

A cloud based workforce management software which uses automation to simplify the complex task of forecasting workload and scheduling staff while helping organizations balance costs with operational needs. Its user interface simplifies common tasks, reducing the effort required. Areas for improvement that users have brought up for this piece of software include how complicated its configuration processes tend to be, its limited forecasting and scheduling abilities, and its finicky online collaboration functionality (particularly when users are collaborating over different countries).
