Cloudbeds
Cloudbeds is a hotel management suite that prides itself on its ease of use, and its centralised HMS functionalities, all of which combine under a single synced login. Its features include a PMS, booking engine, channel manager, marketplace, revenue management tool and payments. It boasts both a simple UI and powerful features.
However, there have been concerns with Cloudbeds expressed by users. It is lacking in certain integrations (such as CRM, accounting, point of sales, etc.), meaning you have to seek a third party in order to use those functions. Additionally, Cloudbeds does not have a dedicated mobile app, which puts it at a major disadvantage when compared to its peers.
RoomRaccoon
RoomRaccoon aims to provide all the tools necessary for managing every aspect of a smaller hotel from a single platform, such as a hotel-first PMS and channel manager with an integrated booking engine to help increase direct bookings and automate upselling. Its offices are spread over several regions all over the world, supporting various language options.
Criticisms that have been levied against RoomRaccoon are to do with its customer service. RoomRaccoon is lacking in certain features such as mobile app integration, a dedicated user forum where users can suggest features, and more means of communication with RoomRaccoon’s customer service team than email only (such as phone).
Little Hotelier
Like its name suggests, Little Hotelier exists to meet the needs of small businesses. Its hotel management software makes it easy to manage a property, attract more guests, convert direct bookings, maintain a website and take online payments. It even avoids the mistakes of its predecessors by having a mobile app that makes this platform easy-to-use on-the-go.
However, there have been complaints that the browser version is more user-friendly than the mobile app. Additionally, Little Hotelier does not come with a currency exchange widget, which makes it difficult to use if your hotel has international branches. Finally, the booking engine has less payment options and gateways than its contemporaries.
RMS Cloud
RMS offers scalable cloud-based technology in order to manage, operate and grow hospitality accommodation businesses. It boasts a bevy of features, and advanced integration capabilities that work well with third-party add-ons. Unlike a lot of the hotel management software on this list, RMS Cloud serves more than just small hotels, including holiday parks, resorts, boutique hotels, hostels, etc.
However, there is a consensus that it could afford to be more streamlined. There are some complaints about the setup being too complicated; and various processes taking more steps than necessary, such as taking payments and compiling reports.
innRoad All-in-1
innRoad All-In-1 is a feature-rich hotel management software designed to help save time, increase occupancy, boost revenue, and give guests a seamless booking experience. Easy to setup and use, innRoad’s all-in-one solution includes reservation management, a high-converting booking engine, channel management with connections to 100’s of OTAs, credit-card processing, and revenue management tools.
However, some say that it lacks the customizability that a lot of hotel management software comes with. While this can be compensated for somewhat with innRoad’s many features, some find its rigidity to be restrictive, as there are a lot of tweaks that users want to make to existing functions that they find they cannot.
roomMaster by innQuest
roomMaster prides itself on being hotel management software that is feature-packed with everything hoteliers need from hotel PMS, EMV Credit Card Payment Processing, more than 125 Reports plus Advanced Reporting, Daily Flash Reporting and Accounting Exports, Online Booking Engine, Online Distribution and Channel Manager (GDS/OTA), point of sale (POS), Activity Scheduling, Revenue Management, Smart Hotel Automation, CRM and 100+ hospitality APIs & integrations.
There are certain important features that roomMaster appears to be lacking, such as third-party integration and the ability to create short video tutorials for staff to use as reference. In addition, certain aspects could use an improvement, such as their POS system and their search functionality.
HotelConnect
HotelConnect is designed to simplify and automate all operations for modern hoteliers and their guests. From the booking engine to check-out, from front desk to revenue management, every process is easier, faster and more connected. It also has extensive third party support and offers some customizability, making it a fairly versatile hotel management software solution.
However, its user-interface is sorely lacking, combining a dated aesthetic with an unappealing colour scheme that can make the software somewhat unpleasant to use, particularly for staff who are new to the software and its many features.
Guestline
Guestline is a hotel management software that offers software solutions for hospitality, property management systems, distribution management, PCI-DSS compliance, EPoS systems, central reservation systems, and conference & banqueting systems. Like many other hotel management software systems, Guestline offers its services on a cloud-based platform that can be accessed from anywhere. They are renowned for their customer support, which includes regular software updates.
But, these pros come with their own cons. For example, updates are implemented immediately without being previewed on a training site so that staff can become familiarised with them and managers can adjust procedures accordingly. The accounting system, while well-made, can be complicated to use. If you’re using a POS system with a different company, it can result in communication problems with the software.
WebRezPro
WebRezPro is a complete, automated and flexible cloud property management system designed to increase productivity and revenue for all types of accommodations. From reservation and inventory management to accounting and reporting, the full-featured yet easy-to-use solution modernizes and streamlines front desk and back office operations. WebRezPro offers flexibility and efficiency for running a hotel.
However, it is not without problems. Its most glaring would be its lack of logging for each individual employee, which makes accountability difficult. Additionally, it can be difficult to separate multi room reservations, which makes it complicated if a person wants to book multiple rooms under one name and then wants to split the costs when they arrive.
